Client:

Concern Worldwide

Sector:

Community, Climate and Environment, Research

Role of Project:

Design and Communications, Engagement and Consultation, Research & Mapping

Project Summary:

COP ON The Festival 2022, was an inaugural climate action event developed and hosted by Concern and Happenings. The COP ON festival was designed to stimulate discussion and inspire concrete climate action for realistic and sustained change, in response to COP 27. Connect the Dots were contracted by Concern to design and carry out a series of research tasks and workshops as part of the COP ON festival to examine the barriers to people taking climate action. This included how we might overcome the barriers along with the co-creation of a series of recommendations on the issue to be taken to COP 27 by Concern’s Youth Climate Ambassador in November 2022.

Process

CtD took a multifaceted research approach, conducting surveys, expert interviews, a key stakeholder workshop alongside a public workshop and an interactive exhibition at the COP ON event itself. Our process included:

  • COMMUNICATIONS
  • INFORMATION GATHERING
  • REPORT AND FINDINGS
  • WORKSHOP DESIGN AND DELIVERY

Outcomes of the Project

  • Strategically designed co-creation of events
  • Insights from the community on how they would like to see a crafts market going forward
  • Recommendations for supporting citizens’ climate priorities
